Poodle Skirts
One of the many fashions associated with the 1950's is the poodle skirt. This skirt was worn by young teenage girls and came in many different colors. Although the poodle is the iron-on patch which is usually associated with this type of skirt, there were many others which were used. These included cats, music notes, and butterflies. This type of skirt was preferred for swing dancing because the design flared our when twirling.
