Being the largest continent in the world, all of Asia is located in the eastern hemisphere, which is east of Europe and northeast of Africa. The World Bank is primarily focusing on helping countries that are undergoing poverty. In 2005, the Bank provided East Asia and the Pacific region $2.8 billion in loans for development. Also, in order to reduce poverty and improve economic growth, the bank is using its financial resources to enrich the standards of life of the people.
