Social:
From the time that the US was a nation, the whole idea of freedom and rights has pushed people to come over to the US. From all over the world, there have been numerous reasons why people choose to immigrate.
Some of those reasons why people would choose to immigrate is in pursuit of things that were lacked by their country or them. One of the reason could be education, because in many cultures such as the Asian or African, it is known that men should be the ones getting an education. As for women, they were expected to act as good housewives and have only the basic schooling that they would need.
In some cultures, education would be considered as a useless thing for women. Cultural differences are one of the main factors in driving people to immigrate because their lifestyle that they are living, can be restrictive. Whereas in the US, everyone has the right to an education, regardless of their race or class.
Thus, from the idea of success that other people had achieved through illegal immigration, this has inspired others to follow the same path.
