Obesity in Africa

You must be asking, "Is it possible for Africans to be obese?" The answer is, "Yes," particularly in South Africa, where people are moving from rural areas of the country to the city. The city has been going under westernization over the past decades. Traditionally, being "fat" showed that you were wealthy, but there is a fine line between being fat and being obese.

Although, there is that possibility of Africans being obese, not many of them actually are. There are still more Africans who are undernourished and have problems of malnutrition, instead of obesity. Fat might be seen in other places, but here, their bones are showing. For that reason, some might think that obesity problems in Africa is a good sign, but if that gets out of control, then there would be more problems than just one.
