The Designer The Leader The Thinker

What did you enjoy the most about making the website on Seattle's International District?

The Designer: I enjoyed the learning experience of the Internatonal District's history. I always went to the International District and that's funny because I never thought about the history of the International District.

The Leader: I enjoyed learning about the history of the International District and meeting a lot of interesting people that are familiar with the International District. It wasn't only the leaning experience that made it fun but actually putting this website was the coolest part.

The Thinker: I enjoyed learning how it was founded and how it managed to grow after all these
years and prosper becoming as busy and vibrant as it is now.

What was the most important thing that you learned from researching this topic?

The Designer: The most important thing I learned about the International District was that Asian minorities didn't get along that well because of all the discrimination going around. That caused everyone to separated into their own villages. Like the Chinese lived in Chinatown and the Japanese lived in Japantown.

The Leader: The most important thing I learned about the International District was how the immigration rules were quite strict and that thought the immigration policy, many people had hard struggles to overcome with life but they managed for the most part to buckle themselves up and live life as good as possible even though it wasn't what they expected.

The Thinker: The most important thing I learned about the International District was all the racist laws that was passed by the United States government against the early Asian immigrants that lived in Seattle's International District. The most important thing I learned would be that fear and hate can lead to many bad consequences as illustrated by the internment of the Japanese and laws against the Chinese and the Filipinos.

What is your favorite asian entree?

The Designer: Pho is the best.

The Leader: Congee is my favorite.

The Thinker: Yakisoba is hella bomb.

What do you do in your spare time?

The Designer: I like to play video games, listening to music, playing on the computer, and hanging out with my friends.

The Leader: I like to surf the web, play video games, listen to music, play any sport as long as it makes me active, and anything that makes me happy.

The Thinker: I run almost everyday to keep in shape year round, training either for cross country or
track. I also enjoy playing video games on my spare time and reading books.
