In the International District, there are always events to look forward to. People from all around come to these events and enjoy them, whether it is buying food or shopping around in the stands. The people enjoy the entertainment and the cultural spread around the performances. Back in the day, people would come together in a group and celebrate the International District and the cultural existence around one another. The Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino’s immigrants shared music, skits, and food. The International District still celebrates the existence and the cultural background around it today. People come from out of state just to see these live festivals filled with a variety of food and entertainment.
The International District has plenty of events that go on in the summer. They have people singing karaoke, lion dances, dragon run, kung fu, and even a drill squad. A lot of people enjoy watching their children being involved in these activities. Anyone can be a part of these organizations, all they have to do is apply. Most of all everyone gets a learning experience and gets to learn to work with others. They take pride in what they do and put a lot of effort in training to these up coming festivals.
