The International District has many features but the one that keeps the tourist coming back are the historical attractions like the Uwajimaya Supermarket, Wing Luke Asian Museum, Northwest Asian Weekly, Nippon Kan Theater, Mak Fai Washington Kung Fu Club, and the Hing Hay Park. These places make up the International District today.

Uwajimaya Supermarket

Uwajimaya is a grocery store filled with plenty of surprises. “ As "the largest Asian grocery and gift market in the Pacific Northwest, Uwajimaya is one of the top 100 privately held companies in Washington”. (Seattle’s International District: Places to go ). Uwajimaya sells a variety of imported products from Asian countries. Uwajimaya also features a gift store and a bookstore called Kinokuniya. It is a very convenient supermarket to go to because you could buy food to eat a food court that is filled with Asian cuisine. It also includes a Washington Mutual bank, which is very handy because if you run out of money at Uwajimaya, you can just drop by to Washington Mutual and draw some money out of your bank. It has been in the International District since 1962. It still stands today makes good business. Please visit the official website of the Uwajimaya Supermarket at http://uwajimaya.com/.
