About 5,000 years ago, the kingdom of Kush (also called Ancient Nubia) was a center of culture and military in Africa. Ancient Nubia was full of natural resources such as gold, ivory, copper, and ebony. Ancient Nubia's lands are now part of modern Egypt and Sudan. Actually KMT ruled a lot of Nubia between 2000 B.C. and 1000 B.C., but when KMT collapsed into civil war, Nubian kings ruled KMT from around 800 B.C. to 700 B.C.

The Nubians are believed to be the some of the first human beings on earth, and the Kemetians adopted most of their customs and traditions. Greeks called them Ethiopians and called Nubia The Land of Punts (The Land of God). Nubia has a history that can be traced back from 3800 B.C. It is one of Africa’s earliest cultures.
