When a woman goes through the process of getting into the trafficking trade and becoming a part of the “business", they experience times that are a violation to their rights as human beings. They are severely mistreated. Their “bosses” treat them like animals, something they can throw around and use anytime they please. Sometimes, if the woman does something that is considered wrong or insufficient, their “master” would sell them to a customer or to another trafficker. In one account, a woman was forced to walk around the bar and her master's house naked. Performing all of her tasks with nothing on. Because of the way they are treated, many women fall into misery and depression. It can also lead to suicide or drug use. (Cambridge, Lindsey)
