ARCHITECURE (n.) as defined by Dictionary.COM:
1. The art and science of designing/erecting buildings
2. Buildings and other large structures
3. A style and method of design and construction
4. Orderly arrangement of parts; structure
Architecture is, in a nutshell, an "art of building", be it a church, a house, or even a bridge. Architecture differs from engineering mainly because architecture is type of art, while engineering, on the other hand, is not. Great aesthetic values are thoroughly reflected in architecture. It can even be a way to study and distinguish the history of a culture and their way of life.
Styles of architecture are influenced not just by their purposes, but also by climate, availability of materials, and financial allotment. Through these different factors, the architects tried their best to use what they have to the fullest, and after a great amount of trial and error discover their own style and new construction methods. These architects from bygone times had defined and also shared a significant part of their culture to the present world.
