Observing all the water samples most of them did not have any Nitrate at all. The small amount that did show up was mostly in drinking water and at Bird Bridge. Although the WTP(Clear Well Water) had the highest amount of Nitrate it is not above 10 mg/L, which is the absolute highest allowed.

|
The absolute smallest TDS concentration was in the rain water sample because there are no minerals in the atmosphere to dissolve in the water. A reason for the greatest number may be from the geology of the Spirit Mound area and the slow speed of the creek. The average TDS for the Vermillion River was about 600 ppm. |

The highest level of Phosphate was found at WWP(out to river). A cause for this could be from the addition of Phosphate to the pipes clean. |

|
In dissolved oxygen the reason for the greatest number could be from the churning of the dam causing more oxygen to get in the water, and a reason for the lowest number can be a decrease in plant life.

For the pH levels, we had 8.5 as our highest for three river sites and 6.5 as our lowest. A reason river water can basic may be from minerals in the water itself. As for rain, it is acidic because of sulfuric acid from air pollution. |
