After the Khmer
Rouge, Cambodia began to struggle back to its feet again.
Schools were re-opened and monasteries were restored.
Most importantly Cambodia established a new government.
The war-torn country was up and running again but they
still had difficult times ahead of them. The country was
still suffering from the after-effects of the "Pol
Pot era." There was still a lack of food, shelter
and sanitation for the Cambodian people.
