Hi! My name is Siouvanh but all my friends know and call me by C. I am attending Franklin High School, class of 2004 and this is my 2nd year in the Upward Bound Program. This year has been very tough due to all the work and projects we have such as the TTQ web contest which requires a lot of work and time. When we chose our groups for the project, we had no idea on what we wanted to do. Amy, one of our group members, came up with a subject, AIDS in Africa, with the purpose to bring awareness to people of the problem that is going on. We thought that was a good idea and the project went from there. We had, as a group, our ups and downs and times where I felt like I didn’t want to continue with this at all. I’m glad to be working with a strong group leader, Amy, who pushed our group and kept us on track. I had a lot of fun doing this project and it was a great experience.
