Powwow is a place for the people, Native and non-native, to come together to share and give. They happen all over the United States at all times of the year. For many different tribes, powwow is a ceremony that thousands of Native Americans look forward to each summer. Many participants spend time in between powwows to create vibrant outfits and fabulous cuisine. Powwows are a major ritual in the Native American Culture and lifestyle.

A Powwow is a event beyond a simple definition. It is a event where people come to celebrate life, love, death, friends, family, and more. A Powwow is more then just a event. This website is dedicated to inform you and the general public more about Powwows. The reason we decided to do powwows is, Powwows seen in mainstream society and are not normally taught in Public schools around the country. We plan to show you how culturally powerful attending one of these cultural events is. We also would like to broaden the amount of people who know about and understand the concepts and ideas about Powwows.
