THINGS TO DO ON CINCO DE MAYO

1. MUSIC: You can’t have a party without music and Mexican parties are no different. It’s very important to have music, most people have mariachi’s play or mariachi music but you can also play corridos.
2. ENTERAINMENT: You need to keep people entertained or your party will be boring, try keeping everybody entertained by using everybody’s favorite the piñata from young to old the piñata is a lot of fun. There is also many other things you can do like pin the tail on the donkey and hide and go seek.
3. DECORATIONS: What kind of a party doesn’t have decorations. Most people’s favorite decoration is the Mexican flag. Other than flags people also like to use red, white, and green napkins or many other Mexican color designs.
4. FOOD: One of my favorite things about Cinco de Mayo parties is the food. There are some foods that are only made on special occasions so what other occasion is better than Cinco de Mayo to make most of my favorites on. Try some of our recipes for some of my favorite like: flan, tacos, and burritos.
5. DRESS: A lot of people like to wear special dresses on this special occasion some women like to wear Mexican style dresses men like to dress up in cowboy/mariachi style clothe even though there is no dress code for these parties you might just want to dress up for the occasions
6. CELEBRATION: Just in case you forgot what Cinco de mayo de mayo really means remember that it stands for the day the Mexican army beat the French at Puebla and showed the world that Latin America wasn’t going to be pushed around (For the story of Cinco de mayo please check out my research on the story of Cinco de mayo)
