The different uses and
consequences of drugs differ among the minority groups.
Drinking alcohol causes damaging effects to the body, especially to the
liver. There are differences in how susceptible one can be depending on the
ethnic group.

Men are said to be more likely to drink than women.

African Americans have the lowest incidence of drinking alcohol.
~
Latinos have the highest occurrence of being intoxicated.
~
Latinos are about twice as likely of die from cirrhosis (a fatal liver
disease).
