Many physicians are recommending changes in diet, and weight control to reduce the risk of heart disease.  For “Hearty Health,” you should:

Reduce your intake of:

·       Red meat

·       Dairy

·       Refined sugars

·       Tobacco

·       Alcohol

·       Fat intake

·       Salt intake

 

 Use/Eat:

·       Natural oils (canola, flax)

·       Organic foods as much as possible

·       At least 4-5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables daily

·       Fiber rich carbohydrates (brown rice, whole wheat)

             

 

Avoid/Eliminate:

·       Processed foods with preservatives and additives (If you

cannot pronounce it, chances are it is processed!!)

·       Margarine

·       Hydrogenated fats
