case of AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) was reported.
This disease, which is now an epidemic, is caused by HIV, a virus that
impairs the immune system. AIDS
prevents the body from being able to fight infections.

who are infected with AIDS, have an immune system that is so weak, that it
