The Fallen Stars

Victims of the Holocaust

Picture the night sky, with Orion, the Big Dipper, Leo, and Capricorn all shimmering in brightness. Now imagine the stars of Orion dimming until you can no longer make out the constellation. Each one of the stars that make up the hunter likely have their own planets, produce their own light, and have their own distinct color. Imagine the stars are people with their own personalities, families, friends, histories, and lives. During the Holocaust, many stars were dimmed, each one unique, and each one illuminating its own portion of the heavens. Just as the dimming of Orion would effect the brightness of the entire night sky, the loss of these individuals effected the brightness of the whole world.
