Bao

Hello! My name is Bao and I am the captain of our team called the Yangsters.
I am a sophomore at Modesto High here in California. I love to listen to country music because it touches my heart. I have a lot of friends and I always enjoy meeting and making new friends, which is one of my favorite things about Hmong New Year. I also enjoy sports, especially soccer because it is challenging.

Teng

Hi my name is Teng and I am sophomore at Downey High here in Northern California. My favorite past times is playing soccer and games in the computer. My goal is to become a Computer Science Engineer. My biggest challenge has been learning English as a second language since I was not born here. I am especially proud of this website because I am sharing a little bit about who I am and my culture. I hope you enjoy it.

Mai

Hi, I’m Mai and I came here to the United States from my native country, Thailand in 1992. My favorite hobbies is reading and listening to all kinds of music especially romantic songs. We did our site on Hmong New Year since it would allow people to take a glimpse of what our culture is like on a very important day for us and because it is also a fun-filled day.
