The
cartoons that Disney produces are cute and children love watching
them . Children also love to have cartoon stuffed animals and often
hug them tightly when sleeping at night -- that is the children
who are fortunate enough to own them. Lets observe children in countries
where Disney products are made, Disney has sweatshops in third world
countries that would have children and adults working on toys and
clothing about sixteen hours a day; their wages can be as low as
six cents per day. When they are required to work overtime, they
do not receive as much extra money as they hope. They are forced
to live and share rooms in small and crowded dorms. And if they
are late or miss one day of work they are fired. Also, if the workers
are ever abused, they feel powerless to say anything. Also, there
is neither a contract nor benefits. The paychecks sometimes never
arrive on time and the factories are low lit, forcing workers to
strain their eyes, creating injury risks.
