People Who Changed the Children's World

Child labor cannot be ended without the support of everyone including the government and non-government organizations. Without these organizations, these children still continue to live a life of misery and social organizations are crucial to upholding the fundamental rights of children and monitoring labor violations. Governments must push themselves forward to enforce child labor laws with the immediate elimination of the most dangerous forms of child labor.

Craig Kielberger was one of the youngest child labor activists. Although he was only twenty-five years old, he already had a strong and a significant goal. His goal was to help the children. He traveled from country to country, from state to state to help. For example, he visited Asia and from that he inspected the abusive child labor situations. This increased his will to do something. He created his program, Free the Children which focused on the issue of child labor and to encourage government to be involved in solving the problem. Today his program has more than 10, 000 members and has raised more than $150,000 to buy necessarily needs for children and provide them with free education.
