Today, from school and money to family and violence, teens are overwhelmed with stress, which in turn threatens their health and well-being. Over the past few decades, national surveys (Garfinkel, Brenna, Stevenson) show consistently escalating levels of stress among teenagers. Yet to what extent is this due to the increasing environmental demands and/or how do teenagers cope with stressors?

We saw a need to explore stress factors of teens, in order to help with general information and coping tactics. Therefore, we conducted a survey to identify how much stress teens feel, the common stressors, and coping methods. The teenage population is a generation who will benefit greatly by being able to resolve life's pressures, because teenagers are our future society. And the management
of teenage stress is a community and social affair.
