Medical - Future
Now that the 20th century possesses the tools to carryout with Nanotechnology, it promises many things for medicine. All the medical pain, suffering and disease will be a thing of the past. At the University of Cornell, researchers have proven that it is possible to send Nanorobots, machines with capacities of fighting diseases and repairing cells.(Tech TV) Nanorobots will have many ways to repair damaged cells, such as by extracting existing chromosomes from the nucleus of a damaged cell. New chromosomes will be then inserted to reprogram damaged cells; thus, the cells will be able to repair themselves. Investigators believe the aging occurs by malfunctions of cells. Thus, they predict that by using Nanorobots, our body cells will be maintain and thus reverse the aging process. This prediction will mostly benefit the middle and elderly regain their youth, beauty, and strength. Not only that but they have hopes of living an infinite extension of life. The pain to enjoy sports and life once again will no longer prevent people with osteoporoses; Nanorobots will strengthen bones by adding diamond scaffolding, an element that penetrated through the bone surface to strengthen them. Deaf people can have their ears altered to enable them to hear high pitch sound. Nanorobots will not stop there; they will consume fatty cells. Humans will now be able to consume any type of foods without worrying of being obese. Nanorobots will not only do that but also have the ability of changing our DNA, we will have the chiose to give the phenotypes that we love to our babies and create new species. (Frietas)
