Another group categorized Dyslexia in another way; Auditory and Visual Dyslexia.

  • Auditory dyslexia causes people to not be able to sound out words when reading or spelling. These people do not connect the way a word sounds with the way they are written.

  • Visual dyslexia causes people to not be able to learn words or symbols through memory or sequences. They commonly reverse words or letters when they are reading or writing, for example "cat" and "tac," but they can actually sound out words.

Remember these are only some of the main types of dyslexia; there are many more!
