Of course, not all symptoms of dyslexia are negative. There are some that are actually gifts and talents that only dyslexic people exhibit.  For instance: 

  • The skill to view mental images in three dimensions and the ability to move around the mental image.
  • The capability to think of imagination as reality.
  • Using pictures to think and express ideas instead of words.

There are occasions when people are able to relate to some of these common signs and automatically think they have dyslexia, but that is not necessarily true. If you are concerned that someone you know, or yourself may have dyslexia, please contact a reading specialist or a psychologist. Do not simply rely on this simple list.
