Through knowledge of basic nutrition concepts, the student become more
aware of how to make healthier dietary decisions that will be of value for a

course further explores the area of foods by expanding the knowledge of
nutrition. It provides an
opportunity to evaluate a variety of nutrition information resources and
includes a study of world health problems by incorporating the study of cultural
food habits. Food preparation
further reinforces healthier choices.
CREATIVE
SEWING

This
course gives students an opportunity to construct simple garments and
non-clothing projects. Students
learn the basics about the sewing
machine, patterns, fabrics, stitching and pressing. Students
must provide their own fabric, notions and sewing kit.
