The florida scrubjay is a very unique bird, for the fact that they like to eat eggs or fledglings of other birds. Though when no other baby birds or the eggs of others can be found they eat what they can which are mostly insects and acorns. Though like squirles they will bury them until later. It is though because of this that they help grow oak forests due to the large piles of acorns that they cannot consume. Unfortunately these forests are being destroyed due to by drought and wildfires.
