THE KEY DEER

Key Deer

The key deer is the smallest in the North American deer species. Adults can measure up to 30 inches at the shoulder. Males can weight up to 75 pounds and females can weight up to 65 pounds. The key deer is a vegetarian. Their main source of food is the red mangrove. The key deer is endangered because Florida is growing larger and larger. Their once home is now a parking lot. Also, key deers are in danger of dogs and ditches.
