Introduction
| The German Tutor came from the vision of Aragon, a team of 5 to 6-year advanced
Spanish and German students. As a team, we wanted to combine innovative
technology and student-friendly interface to provide a learning tool for
beginning students of German, and a guide for later studies. Hence, The German
Tutor was created in the image of interactive studies. |
| As indicated by the title, The German Tutor is a tutoring
website. Although our lessons may suffice to introduce one to the language, it
is not recommended that students use The German Tutor as their only source of
study. This is because The German Tutor is a tutor, or guide, to help introduce
and reinforce some basic German concepts. However, this site can never take the
place of classroom discussion, teacher guidance, or comprehensive workbooks,
especially for those who wish to seriously pursue German. |
| We do, however, offer a diagnostic test, lessons,
exercises, tests, an express tutorial, suggested reading, helpful links, a help
forum, and teacher interviews and study tips (within Suggested Reading). These
links can be found on the navigation menu to your left! |
| The German Tutor lessons offer introductions to basic
German grammar and usage in addition to important words and phrases that are
geared towards helping students get on their feet. There are two paths our
guests can take: Lesson-by-lesson tutorials or our express course in German. |
| The express course, German! On the Go, is focused towards
individuals who would like to get a quick overview of basic German. Our German!
On the Go course offers user-friendly charts and tables, along with key phrases
for everyday communication. Printer-friendly pages make this an ideal quick
reference. Whether you are short on time, or would just like a quick review,
this would be the choice for you. |

As mentioned afore, the other choice The German Tutor
offers is a lesson-by-lesson tutorial. This introduction to German is divided
into units and lessons, with exercises and tests to accompany each lesson to
test progress! Users are free to take lessons, exercises, and tests in any
order they wish. If they have the optional account with us, their progress will
be automatically recorded and they can check their progress at any time.
