The Story

By: Alex

Sasquatch is a name to describe a North American primate meaning wild man. Sasquatch is more commonly known as Bigfoot. It is said to be an ape like creature around 7ft tall. Tracks have been found that are around sixteen inches long (this is what gave him the name Bigfoot). He is said to be roaming the forests and as a result there have been many sightings all over North America. These range from claiming to hear him to firing a shot at Big Foot. Sightings have also been reported to see a black and a white one wrestling in the woods.

Evidence For

Tracks, hairs, scat, and tree damage have all been found and related to Bigfoot. Bigfoots are extremely rare and are very cautions. They are said to be extremely intelligent and extremely rare. So that is why a Bigfoot has never been caught. A man reported that he saw a 7ft hairy creature in his cow pasture one day. He also said that someone was systematically killing his cows. There was another man who was in the woods one night scaring deer away from his house, when he turned to his right he saw a huge 7 foot “beast” with a brownish orange fur. He immediately shot it twice and ran up to his porch to get another gun from his wife. When the man turned around he saw nothing but he heard something still in the trees and it left howling into the woods.

Dr. Jane Goodall once said in an interview “I'm sure that they exist.” There are also thousands of reported sighting all over North America.

Evidence Against

No professionals have looked for Bigfoot. They do not want to spend their time searching for something that they are not for sure exists. After Ray Wallace’s death his family came out and told media that he was responsible for the legend of Bigfoot. They even have the stompers that he used to make the tracks. They said it started out as a prank and suddenly took over his life. Some famous footages and pictures are just Wallace in his costume.
