Q: What is a standard sized tank for a beginning reef builder?
A: Any where around ten gallons. That way, it's not to big, not too small, and it supports a sufficient number of marine life.
Q: Why is it important to top off your water everyday?
A: It is important because you need to maintain salinity, and topping off your water will keep the level of salinity balanced.
Q: What does it mean to "top off" your water?
A: It means to make sure that your water is at the same level everyday. If it is not, you need to add enough water so that it is.
Q: Why do you need a skimmer, a blower, and a heater?
A: It helps maintain the waters cleanliness, and safety.
Q: Why do you need to use a hydrometer?
A: To measure specific gravities in your tank.
