Jimmy Carter - Born in Plains, Georgia, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, 60th out of 820. After he was a state senator and governor of Georgia, he ran and won the election for President of the United States in 1976 becoming the 39th president. During his time as president (1977-1981) he signed the Panama Canal Treaties which would let the Panamanian Government get the canal back in 1999. He also oversaw the Camp David Accords which later led to the signing of a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. For his work he won the Nobel Peace prize in 2002.
