Imre Kertész - Born in Budapest, he was deported in 1944 to the German concentration camp Auschwitz in Hungary. After he was liberated, he became a writer. His novel (Sorstalanság or Fateless) were about a fictional boy (György Köves) who was deported by the Nazis and reflects what Kertész had to go through. Other works he did were: A kudarc (Fiasco) and Kaddis a meg nem született gyermekért (Kaddish for a Child not Born). For his work he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2002.
