While researching there he was a part of a group who discovered methods for observing biological macromolecules. (1/3) Koichi Tanaka - Born on August 3,1959 in Toyama City, Japan. Received a Degree in engineering from Tohoku University in 1983. Is currently affiliated with the Shimadzu Corporation. While researching there he was a part of a group who discovered methods for observing biological macromolecules. (1/3) Kurt Wüthrich - Born October 4, 1938 in Aarberg, Switzerland. Acquired a Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Basel. He is currently involved with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and the Scripps Research Institute. Achieved the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for the development of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
