
When you hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro, you will have many things to eat, all of which you will find on the food pyramid.
Some examples from the bread and cereal group are bread, rice, pancakes, french toast and pasta. You will have vegetables like carrots and cabbage from the vegetable group. You will have various fruits from the fruit group. You will have beans and eggs in the protein group. In the dairy group you will have milk and cheese. These foods will give you the energy you need to climb the mountain.
There are many ways to train for your climb. You can hike, you can run, and also workout at a gym. You can go cycling, do leg presses, leg extensions, curls, calf raises, toe pulls, hyper extensions, leg raises, crunches, and even go climbing. Remember, you need to focus on strengthening you leg muscles, and strengthening your lungs for the high altitude.
Before you begin training for your climb, remember to:
1. Check with your doctor.
2. Warm up.
3. Be safe! Don't do what you can't do until you are ready.
4. Think of where you are going!!!!!!!!!!
