Other Rules
Castling: This is one of the most basic defensive moves which in
order to make there must be no pieces between the king and either rook and
the squares between the king and the rook mustn’t be threatened. When
both of these requirements have benn met then you move your king over two
squares towards the rook with no pieces between it and the king. You
also move the rook your king has moved toward over the king one space.

Promotion: A player can promote his pawn into a different piece by
moving a pawn to the other side of the board from where started. Once
your pawn has reached the other side of the board than you can turn your
pawn into any piece you want (once your pawn has reached the other side of
the board promoting it takes up one move.)

Resign and Draw Proposals: A player can resign a game meaning that
he has lost and hi opponent has won. Also after a player has made
has made his move than he can request a draw, if his opponent accepts than
the game is a draw if his opponent denies than the game goes on.
Repetition of moves: when the same move has been made three times
in the same position by the same player than the player to move can call a
draw.
50 Moves Rule: If 50 consecutive moves have been made by both players
without pieces being taken or pawns being moved than the game is a draw.
