DNA Background

DNA, also known as deoxyribonucleic acid, was discovered in 1869. James Watson and Francis Creek described DNA as a double helix consisting of two strands woven around each other. DNA carries the genetic characteristics of all life forms. And decides what a life forms is going to look like, how its going to feel like, and mostly everything about any life form. DNA is found in a cell’s nucleus in structures called chromosomes. DNA contains thousands of chemicals called nucleotides. Nucleotides are bonded to each other to form polynucleotides which is contains a sugar call deoxyribose. DNA has four bases: Adenine, guanine, thymine, and cytosine. DNA is the basis of all living life forms.
