Type 2 diabetes was recently an
adult disease, but now children have been getting this
disease because they are obese. When you have type 2
diabetes you lose the ability to use sugar for energy.
Ice cream, candy, and other foods with sugar are
making kids in America fatter and leading many of them
to type 2 diabetes.
When kids have type 2 diabetes at a
younger age they might develop a greater chance of
getting serious problems of type 2 diabetes in later
like kidney failure, amputation of limbs, and
blindness. Three patients were on dialysis, and two of
them had a serious injury. One had a toe amputation,
and another had blindness. Among 33 patients they had
in one year with diabetes two-thirds of them had poor
blood sugar.
Doctors have been shocked by the
rise of type 2 diabetes in young people, but the
doctors are not surprised because this disease is
related to obesity and American children are becoming
more obese. About 92% percent of all people that have
type 2 diabetes are insulin resistant. Insulin
resistant is associated with abnormal metabolic
problems that decides before hand for people with type
2 diabetes to cardiovascular disease.
Here are some foods that are good
for you in the meat section that are healthy: canadian
bacon, lean ham, lean pork, turkey, and veal. Here are
healthy foods in the seafood section: crab, crayfish,
every kind of fish, oyster, scallops, and shrimp.
Every kind of fruit is healthy except pineapples,
watermelons, ripe bananas, and raisins. Every kind of
vegetable is healthy except beets, corn, parsnips,
white potatoes, turnips, baked beans, and sweet
pickles.
Diabetes is a disease that many
people have, but if you treat it right than nothing
bad will happen to you. Also, don't eat too many foods
with too much sugar in it.
