The AC-47D was a converted C-47 cargo plane. It was armed with three SUU-11A 7.62 mm "miniguns" which fired rounds of ammunition at the rate of 6000 per minute. The aircraft had three nicknames, "Spooky", Puff the Magic Dragon", and "Puff". The aircraft was used for night combat and close air support.
