The Easter Egg - Exchanging eggs in springtime is an ancient custom. Eggs were buried in Egyptians tombs. In most cultures the egg symbolized rebirth and resurrection.
In AD 325, the emperor convened a council and it was decreed that after the first full moon in the vernal equinox, that Sunday, Easter would be celebrated!
