The Easter Bunny - The Easter bunny is not a modern invention as some people might think. The Saxons worshiped the god Eastre by the earthly symbol of the rabbit or the hare. Then eventually the custom of Easter bunnies were brought to America by the Germans.
The Easter Egg - Exchanging eggs in springtime is an ancient custom. Eggs were buried in Egyptians tombs. In most cultures the egg symbolized rebirth and resurrection.
In AD 325, the emperor convened a council and it was decreed that after the first full moon in the vernal equinox, that Sunday, Easter would be celebrated!
