The NASA Space Center has been around for along time. They have increased there technology by a lot. This program has exhilarating highs and devastating lows. These past years we have been experiencing dozens of successful missions, resulting in immeasurable scientific gains. But all these fabulous completions in success have had a serious cost. In 1986, the Challenger space shuttle exploded during its launch into space and also on February 1st of 2003 the space shuttle Columbia exploded while reentering the Earths atmosphere. As you can see it is really a fifty-fifty chance of having a successful launch and also a successful landing. I sure wouldn’t want to be an astronaut risking my life, but I guess somebody has to take the risk to learn more about our surrounding areas besides just our planet.
