Laws Against Jews: Abraham
The Nazis hated the Jews with a passion. Therefore they made many useless laws preventing Jews from practicing everyday occurrences. The horrendous accounts are listed in the following journal entries of Abraham.
April 7, 1933
Outrageous! Two laws against the Jewish people have been enforced today. I am
fired from my job because of the Laws 
for
the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service. It states that any Civil
servants, or politicians, who are not of Aryan descent are to be retired. How
will I provide food for my family? Or provide the bill to keep a roof above
my family’s heads? Don’t the Nazis have families too? They know
what it is like to support a family and it’s even harder without a job!
I am also forbidden from continuing my career as a lawyer. This will prevent
me from returning to my jobs while Hitler is in power. This saddens me for I
loved my job as a lawyer. Life will be dull sitting at home all day with nothing
to do. Maybe I will do some woodwork. Who knows what I will do?

Another law has been enforced the Law Against the Crowding of German Schools
and Institution of Higher Learning. Now my children are not allowed to go to
school! How will they ever get an education? I can’t home school them
while I am trying to earn money. These laws have become unethical. We Jews are
people too; we deserve the same treatment as the Aryans.

September 15, 1933
Two new laws have been enforced! The Law for Protection of German Blood and
German Honor statesthat no Jew may marry a German. If my sister, Greta, had
attempted to marry her beloved Johann, it would be forbidden. Why is this happening?
My dear daughter, Elizabeth, could not marry a German (not that she was planning
to).
The Reich Citizenship Law was also enforced today. This says Jews cannot be
Reich citizen unless we are loyal to the Germans and have Aryan blood. I can
only hope no more of 
these
laws are enforced.

Yet another horrid law has been enforced the First Decree to the Reich Citizenship
Law. This totally destroys my and other Jews' citizenship. We have lost our
right to vote on any political matters. Also we do not have the right to hold
public office. The Germans have declared almost anyone who has been in contact
with a Jew is basically a Jew. The laws are crazy!
