The Cuttlefish is smaller than the
Octopus. It uses ink and changing color and patterns to
protect itself. It has four different patterns. The first
pattern of zebra stripes makes him harder to see when
swimming. His second pattern of turning his lights to dark
suddenly makes the predator not be able to figure out where he
went. Two large dark circles makes the predator think the
Cuttlefish is larger and more threatening. Lastly, his uneven
spots makes the Cuttlefish hard to spot against
sand.
