 Javan Tiger
BY: Amanda

Javan tiger   The last Javan tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica) was sighted in 1972 in Java, which is an island in the Indian Ocean.  Javan Tigers look like a Bengal tiger, but because they live only in Java, they are called the Javan Tiger (obviously!).  Since they only lived in Java and humans began destroying their habitat, they quickly went extinct.

The Javan tigers were carnivores, which meant they ate meat.
