REMOTE SENSING TEAM

Our team is a part of the Magnet Program at North Gulfport 7^th and 8^th Grade School in Gulfport, Mississippi.

Student members of this team learn through hands-on activities about:

1. GIS (geographic information systems)
2. Digital mapping
3. GPS (global positioning systems)
4. Digital photography
5. Map analysis

The Remote Sensing Team explores science-related topics, investigates real world issues, and works in collaborative teams to research and solve problems. NASA/Stennis Space Center is partnering with us on this project.

Topics include travel routes, population distribution, transportation routes, local development planning, and resource conservation.

It is an exciting and challenging opportunity for all of us.
