Day 1, Week One (Jessica's Entry) 2/25/03 Tuesday The team met up today at 7:00 AM. Angelina, Travis, Tyler, Ryan, and I, Jessica, were declared the team. Travis was made leader. We created a syllabus of our goals. The theme of our web site was all discussed and Technology was chosen. Day 2, Week One (Jessica's Entry) 2/27/03 Thursday We discussed the site layout and came up with the idea of the mouse and cheese concept. We decided to use mice because the mouse is a part of a computer and computers are technology. Travis typed up a list of things to do for this and next week, our goals. Tyler and I will be talking about graphics and the layout; Angelina is helping with that too. Travis is working up the format, and Ryan is helping him plan. Day 3, Week Two (Travis's log) 3/5/03 Wednesday Entire hierarchy of the web site was created on Travis's computer. Attractive layout was organized by Travis and supplemented by Tyler's graphic work, comprising of headers for: Technology, Communications, Computers, and Television. Navigation bar was created in Java Script to head all pages. Original layout for sites was disbanded in rise to a layout of blue hues not utilizing frames. Homepages created for the following sites: Technology, Communications, Computers, Radio, Data Management, Internet Use, Presentation, Programming, Flash (Presentation), Site Map, and Glossary. Day 4, Week Three (Angelina's entry) 3/11/03 Tuesday Today we are getting the basic layout and information put on to the web page. The layout looks good and is coming along great. Travis is doing a very good job in leading our group, and I have faith that we will actually win. Tyler and Jessica have done an awesome job in drawing the graphics. We'll have to get back to work now. Day 5, Week Four (Ryan's Entry) 3/18/03 Tuesday Today we are fixing some of the web page. Travis is changing some of the HTML things to graphics instead of drawing. The site looks good and I think we'll win. Travis is doing well (I think) because he is doing something that looks hard. Day 6, Week Five (Tyler's Word) 3/20/03 Thursday Today's Thursday and it's getting close to uploading time! If I weren't so lazy, I'd put my graphics on a CD to bring down here at the "workplace". Next week I'll get the graphics uploaded. Travis is uploading some data for the web site. While in our "office" we enjoy laughing…so we have fun while working-if we are working. Day 7, Week 6 (Angelina's Entry) 3/25/03 Tuesday Hey. Today we are finishing up the graphics and I am working on fiber optics. What fun! Travis is working on the site and Jessica is doing something very important right now and she says she cannot be bothered, but I think otherwise. (hehehe) Ryan missed the meeting today but I'm pretty sure he will show up Thursday. Well captain Angelina signing off now. Day 8, Week 6 (Jessica Speaks Again) 3/27/03 Thursday We took pictures for our About Us page. Tyler took a hilarious "macho man" picture. Our ThinkQuest days are drawing to a close, and now I can only think about how much fun we've had. Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Savage have been with us throughout all of our work. This has been a great experience for all of us. If you get the chance to participate in ThinkQuest (Especially with Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Savage), you should take the opportunity! They also bring doughnuts for us pretty much every meeting, hehe. Well, I guess I'll end the journal until the next entry, seeya! Day 9, Week 7 (Tyler's Log) 3/28/03 Friday Yet we meet again, two days in a row. We took a picture of Ryan and talked to our advisor, the ever so popular Mrs. Lee about how much time we have. We progress every day, whether we get done with only one thing at a time; details really emphasize the web page. Day 10, Week 8 (Angelina's Entry) 4/1/03 Tuesday Today is one of our last meetings. We are trying to upload the BEAUTIFUL masterpiece of ours. There's one problem, Ryan hasn't completed the radio section. We are debating on whether to keep the nice flashy blinkies but Travis said it doesn't look professional so we might take them off. Friday we won't meet because our genius leader, Travis, has a math competition. WOOHOO! Good Luck to him. Well that's all for now 'til we meet again my friend. J Day 11, Week 9 (Tyler's Entry) 4/2/03 Wednesday We're meeting a lot more this week, since we're in the verge of being done. We're working on the radio and PowerPoint pages right now, I made some more headers of the ones we didn't have already. We're filling in the glossary and putting more detail into the site. It's going to be great! Day 12, Week 9 (Ryan's Entry) 4/3/03 Thursday We are having the last meeting working on our website. We are pretty much done. All of the links are clean, the pages are mostly complete, and today we will finish the glossary and publish the website. We worked very hard until 10 last night finishing the main stuff. Now we are just hours away from finishing a very good sight. I think we will place, and I know that it is a good website!
