BASIC
As BASIC as it can get: BASIC is a programming language designed for beginners: Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. It is built around the English language. Its instructions are fairly easy to learn and understand. The applications that can be made are powerful. BASIC has had many makers, but the language is BASICally the same. Probably the most famous is Q-BASIC, which was built by Bill Gates by the way. BASIC is a good starting ground for languages such as Visual Basic (obviously) and several of the Java languages.
