Effects

A great effect for use in Flash is tweening.  To create a tween, either select the frame and choose your type of tween on the Properties palette or choose "Insert Tween" from right clicking the frame in which you will insert the tween.  There are two types of tweens:

  • Motion

  • Shape

A motion tween can move a GROUPED object on one layer (including text).
A shape tween can distort an UNGROUPED object.

To make an image fade in, change the Alpha to zero on frame (this only applies to movie clips.  Create a motion tween to a frame with an alpha of 100.  The image will either fade in or out.
