FORMULAS

Equations used to calculate values in a cell are called formulas.  Formulas help you automatically add, subtract, multiply, divide, find averages, and much more.  When you type formulas, you always have to type the equal sign (=) first for the formula to work. The formula bar is directly below the toolbar in the worksheet and displays a formula when the cell of a worksheet contains a formula.  You type in your formulas here.
